The cover image is daunting at first glance. The dark background will not get over the eye and does not capture the title (perhaps because, without knowing the plot, it is difficult to understand). The proverb "the eye wants its part" is terribly true. A beautiful image whets a reader not in the "search"? An eye-catching design is not perhaps what strikes at first sight, each of us when it passes the look on stacks of books in the library? So why cut the grass with his legs to an author in a cover so depressing? I do not know an answer, but I can say that if I'd been curious to experience the imagination and the ability of an author Italian (Category one of the authors Italian Fantasy unjustly underrated and criticized) would not have purchased.

The story begins well but ends up lost in a fantasy stereotypes a bit 'obvious. The protagonist is born but, unfortunately, grows trivially interesting in a revelation that has little of the original, although I believe that the author deems the turning point of 'work. Disappointed
easily guessed by a change in advance, I came across a bit after a 'hard. The characters (tutti!) lose their charm in the middle of the work and the interesting departure becomes the usual "fight to regain the lost kingdom." The usual pot filled at random? At times I gave that impression but gotta give credit to the excellent style of the author, can not be said that Miles does not know how to write. Unfortunately, the editorial choice (16 € for a tiny little book, without even the hard cover leaves something perplexing) in my opinion did not give way to this young writer to become known enough. The book has almost disappeared from the shelves of libraries.

If I could draw a graph of this novel it would be out of a downward without handles. A real shame because the whole story is full of good ideas, I wonder whether it is really born that way from the pen of De Benedetti or whether it was forced to cuts and modifications from the publishing house. In any case, the Delosbooks is not, in I think the best way to sponsor and publish a novel, especially when of onset, especially if you are Italian.

I sincerely hope that Miles will give us the opportunity to read it again a second chance to assert his ability is a must. In the midst of many authors who can not write, but selling it would be fair to give space to those who hold the pen in hand and knows how to use it.
